I have a decent number of photos on here. Some of them look kind of cool. Others I just wish looked cool. Some come from me seeing things out of context, but what I end up with is beauty only I see. I don't care that nobody else sees it, that's besides the point.
The point is that I only have a handful of photos that having any real meaning. Beauty isn't enough. Art is about truth, about asking questions, about making people think. The ironic thing is that these ideals rarely coincide with beauty.
I watch films by people like Fellini, Antonioni, Bresson, Bunuel, Bergman, and so many others of the ilk, and now I've come to think "That's what I need to do with a camera." Or maybe with words. However I figure out to do it, that's what I need to do.
